Miya decided she was going to be an architect at age 11 and graduated from Carnegie Mellon with a Bachelor of Architecture. Miya has worked with Robert Swatt since 2009 and has overseen a number of residential projects from complicated additions and remodels to large-scale residences. She works directly with the clients, consultants and contractors from initial design studies through construction completion. She is passionate about residential design and loves helping clients realize their dream home. She is also the firm’s EOF – Enforcer of Fun.
Miya loves to travel and took a break in her architectural trajectory to live in Japan for several years. She discovered her Japanese half and was drawn to the Japanese aesthetic. When not dreaming of traveling, Miya can be found locally swimming long distances, hiking with her pup, and cooking.
