Yuko Okamura

Yuko Okamura

Yuko enjoys bringing design visions to life through the process of collaboration with clients, colleagues, and the entire project team. Educated at the University of Washington and the University of British Columbia, she spent a few years working in marketing and program coordination for an architecture non-profit prior to joining team Swatt in 2015. With an eagerness to develop her architectural skills while continuing to refine her skills in graphic design, Yuko has worked on a wide range of residential projects and has also aided in showcasing the firm’s work through graphics, marketing and book design. She finds joy in seeing projects from concept to completion, creating spaces that fulfill our clients’ visions.

Growing up along the west coast, with a short stint in Japan has given Yuko a great appreciation for the outdoors. Outside of work she spends the majority of her time staying active out in nature, exploring beautiful landscapes on long bike rides, hikes and backpacking trips. On the rare occasion she finds herself more stationary, she enjoys cooking and pursuing her never-ending list of creative interests.
