In the 49 years since Robert Swatt opened his first firm, we have designed over 200 residential projects, including 150 custom homes, of which over 125 have been built. We have designed homes for unique and challenging sites throughout California, and in Colorado, Nebraska, Hawaii, Canada, India, and Mallorca, Spain. In addition to being featured in numerous publications throughout the world, we have been honored with over 95 local, national and international awards, including the national Honor Award from the American Institute of Architects. Designed from the inside out, the constant threads that pervade our work include strong relationships of architecture to land, open planning for informal living, and dissolving the boundary between inside and outside – all designed to be as beautiful to live in as to behold.
